In March , the second season debuted with a 0. Alonso later told fans that leaving the show was not his idea. Over the course of season two , the ratings for Breakout Kings further declined, hitting a low of a 0.
Much luv! On to the next. What do you think? Did Alonso leaving the series influence your watching the series? This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. Learn how your comment data is processed.
Just finished watching and I agree with all comments this show should continue. Well written well directed and the cast was perfect. If this comment means to bring breakout kings back I would tell all my friends to send in theirs. Why do people think Netflix had control over this show? Just look at the poll. Regardless of TV ratings it has good ratings on Netflix.
I think they should seriously considering buying the show and continuing it. Why are people blaming it on Netflix!?
The Netflix rating of it is good so regardless of its poor TV ratings it would do well on Netflix so maybe they should think about saving it. I never watched Netflix, never watched much TV. Until my 6 year old granddaughter introduced me to Netflix. I bought into it because I felt Netflix was good TV. For starters, Breakout Kings has had something of a chequered history. Originally in development at Fox, the show got a pilot episode in January Now, not to suggest that the writers are stuck for ideas, but we have here the story of a bunch of criminals who help US marshals track down escaped prisoners.
Want to guess which Fox show the writers used to work on? They even brought T-Bag Robert Knepper along for an episode. Plot Driven by the fact that there are few things more dangerous than a prisoner who has just escaped, and tired of following protocol and resorting to outdated methods of law enforcement, veteran U. Hell, their two leads both hail from other, better cop shows Alonso from Southland and Lombardozzi from The Wire.
That deftness with the actors extends to the guest cast, where plenty of fine actors pop up as the bad guy of the week or in a handful of scenes. The second episode is much more obviously shot on a cable budget, and not to its credit. It also features Swan, who gives one of the most hilariously flat starring performances in a long, long time.
The next generation of bubbly Save time, money, and ultimately help save the planet by forgoing your La Croix. In a world that already has Justified, Fringe, White Collar, Leverage, Hawaii Five-0, The Mentalist, Castle, Bones , and hell, even Psych to list just a few of the MANY much better shows that play with this same general concept on the air right now , why was there a need for this show?
The answer, presumably, could have come from having the criminals apply things only a criminal would know to the various situations they encounter, applying jailhouse logic to the outside world in ridiculous ways. So, when I walked into the room to meet the casting director and Matt [Olmstead] and Nick [Santora], the producers, I wanted very much to get the role.
It was great because I went in and they had this wonderful, collaborative spirit, from the beginning. They were really interested in my take on Julianne, and it just went from there. Was there something specific in Julianne that you felt you could most identify with, or did you want to play her because she was so different from who you are?
NEVIN: Julianne deals with a lot of anxiety issues and what was interesting to me was the challenge of doing that sort of research and finding out what makes her tick, in a way that is different from me.
So, I ended up doing a lot of reading and a lot of research. That was a great challenge, just to add one of the layers that makes Julianne who she is. Had you been familiar with Prison Break and the work that Matt and Nick did on that show? I knew that they would put the same talent and expertise into Breakout Kings. It does have some of the larger than life prison escape moments that Prison Break had. What have Matt and Nick been like to work with? Are they very collaborative with the actors?
I think they watch us on set, when they come to visit. Our senses of humor definitely play a role in how they decide to shape our characters, which is great. I feel like Julianne was encased in this self-made protective barrier.
