Can you kill calcelmo

Same result. I can only surmise that there's something going on with that lab that I should know about that causes the guards to go wonky. Anyone else experienced this or have a clue what's going on? Perkless in Skyrim Bad to the Dragonbone. Calcelmo's lab is part of a quest. There should have been some dialogue between guards as you first enter to that effect with instructions to kill anyone they see.

The Dwemer Museum bothers me because it has some items that seem to remain permanently flagged as stolen. The dwarven armor and weapons to be exact. I've tried with 2 different level 1 characters and when I try to sell them to a fence and buy them back to "whitewash" them and make them mine, they still show as stolen.

The Dibella statue that's part of the Thieves' Guild quests does the same thing. You know those chicks remember the Night to Remember quest? They're a little over protective.

On the same topic, why do so many bandits and mages have her shrines in their lairs? However, if they activate the valve opposite the door through which they entered, it will reactivate the room's in-built Dwemer defenses, killing the Guards and causing Aicantar to attempt to flee the room—usually killing himself by running through traps. The Dragonborn could, however, run past him and come back to Markarth another time.

Upon their return, Aicantar will no longer be hostile. If Aicantar survives the defenses, during the activation of Calcelmo's stone, he will appear at the doorway provoking an alternate dialogue between himself and the guards than would otherwise occur. Aicantar may be a target for this quest. If he is killed during "Hard Answers," it may fail this quest.

Aicantar: "Uncle Calcelmo Can't you see I'm trying to think here? Nothing at all. Calcelmo: "Next season, nephew. Next season for sure Both of these items can be found in the room directly behind the Dragonborn while facing the front of the stone tablet. After learning it was written in Falmer, he will refer you to Calcelmo in Markarth. Calcelmo will refuse to show you his work unless you convince him through persuasion, bribery or intimidation.

You can shoot it down using an arrow, or the Unrelenting Force shout. Go up the wooden ramp. Once the ramp is down, climb the stone staircase on the left side to reach the bottom of the ramp.

Climb the wooden ramp to get to the door that leads inside the house. You'll also find Calcelmo's nephew, Aicantar in the same area. You can just rush in and kill him and the guard. If you activate the trap, the guard dies but he'll escape, bringing back reinforcements later. In any case, you can also grab the Dwemer Puzzle Cube to the left of the Enchanter so you can give it to Delvin Later.

Open the marked door to exit to the balcony. Exit to the balcony and enter Calcamo's Tower. Once inside, pick up a piece of charcoal and a roll of paper then examine the stone slab to make create a duplicate of the Falmer translating guide.

If you let Aicantar escape earlier, he'll be back with some heavy reinforcements. You can sneak past them or kill them all. To avoid going back through the museum, jump. Be cautious though, as a foot to the left or right could mean a swift demise. Head back to Winterhold and talk to Enthir. You should find him in the Frozen Heart inn cellar, with Karliah. Listen to Enthir as he translates Gallus' journal.
