Why is amazing race apologizing to veterans

Bates is a little more subtle. The Battaglias hit the ground running in Africa. First came a Roadblock requiring the teams to accompany some Kalahari Bushmen on a scorpion-hunting expedition. For the Battaglias, it was a breeze. For some of the more squeamish competitors, notably Joey Graceffa and Max Bichler, it was a trip far, far outside the comfort zone. YouTube host Graceffa squealed at the sight of his scorpion, let alone the thought of touching it.

Does anyone else want to punch Joey in his ovaries? All Rights Reserved. The Battaglias had taken the lead. Team Mullet emerged from the hunt in last place, but not by much, and things were about to get better. The Battaglias chose the fire option, as did the next four teams.

When the Battaglias made short work of the fire task, it looked like Team Mullet might have gone the wrong way. But the McCalls had not chosen blindly. Chuck McCall is an avid hunter, and he revealed some experience that caused even his wife to do a double take. Only the Battaglias had succeeded at the fire-making exercise. Four other teams tried it, wasting precious time, only to give up and switch over to the snare-making option.

If there's anything I've learned watching Dual Survival, it's making fire is crazy hard. Newlyweds Max and Katie Bichler lost the most time, to the delight of some viewers who found them abrasive and snobbish — a view reinforced when Katie Bichler had commented that the Bushmen smelled bad. Can't believe that woman is complaining about the way the bushmen smell. Bates Battaglia is a powerhouse in the challenges on the AmazingRace this season. Only way I see him losing is a bad taxi driver.

Chien and Sung came in second, followed by Team Mullet. Chuck and Wynona are just awesome. So fun and really upbeat all the time despite their struggles AmazingRace. The Bichlers straggled up in last place, but got a reprieve from Keoghan, who told them this would be a non-elimination round. Max and Katie, you are not eliminated because your shallow, arrogant, pompous attitudes make for great tv. Too bad today wasn't a non elimination day for UNC.

They might not be the only ones facing a bumpy ride: A preview clip showed the McCalls having some issues getting control of a canoe.

The outcry was prompted by a mission the show's contestants were sent on which saw them visit the memorial to discover their next clue. The Veterans of Foreign Wars took issue with the location—as did several Fox News pundits —believing it dishonored the soldiers who gave their lives for the country during the Vietnam War. After hearing Amazing Race producers express their regret, Hamilton and company offered their appreciation. Catch up on the latest TV moments.

He added: "Our nation has many national priorities, but to the VFW, making sure our men and women who serve in uniform return home to a grateful and respectful nation is paramount.

Your network and all of its programs can be tremendous assistance in that mission. Again, thank you for hearing our voice.
